Lethbridge Polytechnic Faculty Association and its members

As a diverse organization representing a broad spectrum of professionals—including tradespeople, nurses, engineers, scientists, law enforcement officials, and social workers—we deeply understand the critical role that education plays in the lives of working people across our province. The Lethbridge Polytechnic Faculty Association firmly believes that to ensure the long-term success and resilience of Alberta’s post-secondary education system, it is imperative to prioritize sustained investment, stability, and a commitment to strong public interest mandates, free from undue external influence.

Post-secondary education is not just a cornerstone of individual success but a vital component of our province’s economic and social future. The work being carried out at our institutions is essential for equipping Southern Albertans with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the evolving 21st-century economy. Without robust support and strategic investment in our educational institutions, our communities risk being left behind in a rapidly changing global landscape. Therefore, it is crucial that we advocate for policies that reinforce the value of higher education and ensure it remains a driving force for innovation, progress, and opportunity in Alberta.
