Sessional/Casual Statement

There seems to be some confusion concerning the expectations for sessional (casual) instructors. Sessional instructors are expected to perform all the functions associated with preparation, delivery and assessment. Where possible sessional instructors should meet with their associate dean or dean to clarify these expectations. This includes attendance at department and center meetings where this information is often shared. However the college understands sessional instructors are not necessarily on campus during regular hours and may have other obligations, therefore attendance at meetings may not always be possible.
