Voluntary Early Retirement Incentive Program

Good afternoon,
As you know from our recent town halls and Executive Leadership Team communications, Lethbridge Polytechnic is facing a significant revenue shortfall largely due to changes in Canada’s immigration and international study requirements.
To help mitigate the toll on our people, the polytechnic is offering an opportunity to apply for a Voluntary Early Retirement Incentive to employees who meet certain eligibility criteria. The information and application package are attached.
To apply, you must:
Be a full-time continuous employee
Be age 55 or older on June 30, 2025
Have 10 or more years of pensionable service with the polytechnic
The deadline for applications is February 14, 2025. Please note additional important dates below:
March 7, 2025 - Notifications to approved/declined applicants (by HR)
June 30, 2025 - Retirement date (unless otherwise agreed)
