Notice of Agreement - March 2025
The Negotiations Committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with Lethbridge Polytechnic on new terms for our Collective Agreement. Over the course of bargaining, the committee worked diligently to represent the interests and priorities that faculty identified. Our most recent bargaining meetings with Administration took place on February 27 and 28, where we met to address and resolve the outstanding issues that remained after several previous sessions.
These final discussions were productive and solutions-focused, allowing both sides to find common ground onkey matters related to compensation, workload, and faculty supports. The result of these efforts is a tentative agreement that we believe reflects meaningful improvements to working conditions, benefits, and professional development opportunities for faculty over the next four years.
We recognize the importance of keeping faculty informed, so we wanted to take this opportunity to provide a summary of key highlights from the tentative agreement. Further details, including the full draft agreement, will be shared in the coming days as we prepare for a faculty information session and ratification vote.
This upcoming session will provide faculty with a chance to review the agreement in detail, ask questions, and hear directly from the Negotiations Committee about the process, the decisions made, and the rationale behind the outcomes we achieved.
